Regarding the recent incident involving the fresh cream roll vending machine at Taipei Metro Dapinglin Station, Taipei Metro stated that, in order to protect consumer rights, personnel were dispatched to the station on the same day for inspection. The vending machine in question is currently “temporarily suspended.” According to the food safety regulations of the lease agreement, the vendor must cooperate with the authorities in their investigation, and may only resume operations after passing a follow-up inspection.
Taipei Metro also noted that the vendor has purchased public liability and product liability insurance as required by the contract, and has properly handled product exchanges and compensation for affected consumers. In addition, machines and products at other stations have undergone thorough cleaning and updating.
Taipei Metro places high importance on service quality and strictly enforces food safety standards. Through its food safety management system, it will continue to support and supervise vendors in self-management, aiming to provide better services and ensure consumer peace of mind.
